 Tracking packs and containers is crucial for the quality processing of shipments.
At present transportation companies widely use the barcode in automated forwarding processes. It seems likely that the RFID systems will replace the barcode in the very near future.
There are several reasons for it: - resistance to hostile environment;
- possible storage of large amounts of information;
- long life of the tags and possible multiple use;
- reading without visual contact.
The contents of a whole container can be checked only by putting close a reader.
